Victoria & Abdul based on a true story focuses on Queen Victoria (Judi Dench) and her friendship with a young clerk Abdul Karim (Ali Fazal). As someone who is fascinated with the reign of Queen Victoria, this story was one that I had never heard of and one that I will always remember. The film also stars Eddie Izzard, Michael Gambon, Tim Pigott-Smith and Adeel Akhtar
