ANSEL ELGORT, LILY JAMES & EDGAR WRIGHT BABY DRIVER PREMIERE | SYDNEY

Ansel Elgort, Lily James and Edgar Wright attend the Baby Driver premiere in Sydney. The actors and director were on hand to greet fans and media, promoting the action thriller whilst walking the red carpet at George St Event Cinemas in Sydney. The popular actors and director were warmly greeted by fans who stood for hours to garner the chance to take a photo with the talent or ask for an autograph. One really lovely moment included The Fault in Our Stars actor Ansel Elgort. Elgort spent quite some time working his way through media and fans in the front part of the theatre space. It came time where he had to meet his colleagues upstairs to introduce the film prior to the screening. Walking past the end section of fans whom at that point he was unable to stop and greet, he said he would be back to greet them all. Time passed and fans were questioning whether he would return, coupled by personnel who were stating he would not return. Fans remained, waiting eagerly. Then after what seemed to be 15 minutes, it happened. Ansel Elgort returned to greet the remaining group of fans. In my 15 years of attending red carpet events, it’s rare to find an actor who says they’ll be back and actually do come back. More often than not the thought is said in passing, but never comes to be. It was great to see how he interacted with his fans. Baby Driver is in cinemas now and also stars, Jamie Foxx, Jon Hamm, Eiza González, Kevin Spacey and Sky Ferreira.
