If you haven’t already heard, grab your wands, pack your bags and prepare for an adventure. An adventure that will span 5 glorious films. J.K. Rowling today confirmed that the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them journey, will span over five films. The author confirmed this during the Global Fan Event ‘Fantastic Beasts Live’ with stars Eddie Redmayne, Katherine Waterston, Dan Fogler, Alison Sudol, Colin Farrell and Jon Voight with creators of the film Director David Yates and Producer David Heyman in attendance.

Other interesting news included the confirmation of Dumbledore (case being maybe mentioned in passing) and Grindelwald will in one way or another feature in the film.

Also, Rowling exclusively told worldwide audiences that the next film will take us to a whole new location entirely! I’m hoping Australia! However I’m thinking Ireland for obvious reasons (Ilvermorny connection). Not sure how this will work with that side of the Wizarding Schooling, but I can’t wait to see it unfold on the big screen.

It was 6:30am here in Australia, (around 5º celsius) I’m sitting on my couch clutching my Harry Potter want, living in the moment, experiencing this event in a whole new way. When all the Harry Potter films were released I was in school. Now I write about films, therefore had the luxury of waking up at 5am to prepare for this momentous occasion and then delve into my Fantastic Beasts writing for the rest of the day. I can’t wait to catch up with my colleagues and friends to discuss all things Fantastic Beasts.

To you, our followers, I say thank you. This experience is all the richer thanks to your interest and dedication when it comes to films.
