Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful. And this is just the trailer! We can’t wait to see what the film offers. With a focus on kindness, Aussie actress Cate Blanchett, who portrays Lady Tremaine, is in complete contrast to this message. The Academy award winning actress plays the devious role perfectly.
The costumes are breathtaking. Cinderella’s gown promises to be a favourite when it comes to inspiration for a costume, and we’re putting it out there, perhaps even a wedding dress.
The film also stars Lily James of Downton Abbey fame and Game of Thrones favourite, Richard Madden as the title characters, Cinderella and Prince Charming. Add to that, the amazing Helena Bonham Carter who plays the Fairy Godmother and we are in for a spectacular ride.
You can’t help but reflect back on your childhood, remembering the times you watched the original Disney film. Of course you notice similarities, it’s quite hard to deviate from the plot line, but we sense there may be some new elements added to the upcoming film, that will make the adventure all the more exciting.
From what we see in this trailer, Sir Kenneth Branagh has done a phenomenal job directing the live-action adaptation of this beloved classic. We can’t wait to see the film in cinemas March 2015.
