This exclusive clip introduces the leads; Dawson (Luke Bracey) and Amanda (Liana Liberato) in their younger years. The recurring ‘kiss in the rain’ scene, made popular in other Nicholas Sparks film adaptations, was once again featured in The Best of Me.
The clip also hints towards the difficulties these characters may face in the films overall storyline. The film, described as an epic love story, explores the notion of second chances and the power of our first true love. James Marsden and Michelle Monaghan also star as the adult leads Dawson and Amanda.
