The Best of Me Official Trailer released

The new full length trailer for The Best of Me film has been released, showcasing a little more of the backstory on some of the characters.

Based on the bestselling novel by Nicholas Sparks, The Best of Me stars James Marsden who you may remember as Lon Hammond in another film adapted from a Nicholas Sparks bestseller, The Notebook. However, in The Best of Me he plays the title role, the love interest who after 20 years of following a different path is reunited with his long lost love.

You may think this story-line sounds familiar, but believe us when we say there are different twists and turns in this journey. Another aspect that sounds all too familiar is the use of past and present sequences. Marsden plays the present Dawson Cole and Australian actor Luke Bracey plays the younger Dawson, providing us with a little history into this characters life. We can’t wait to see this film due for release in October.

We’re also keeping up to date with filming for the next movie based on the latest Nicholas Sparks offering The Longest Ride. Currently filming in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, the film stars Oona Chaplin as Ruth, Scott Eastwood as Luke Collins and Britt Robertson as Sophia Danko.

These roles are great opportunities for young stars looking to make a big break, it’s worked before. Think, Ryan Gosling and Liam Hemsworth. Both rose to critical acclaim for their roles in Nicholas Sparks based films The Notebook and The Last Song.
